Lafayette couple recognized for outstanding service to Region 13
Mrs. Myrtis Duplantis and her late husband, Elmer, have been awarded the 2006 Regional Service Award for their unswerving commitment to the daylily and the people who grow and love this flower. As a team, Elmer and Myrtis have been inspirations to their clubs and region. At the time of his death in July 2006, Elmer was serving his fifth year as our Regional Vice President, was a past president of Delta Daylily. He had been club president

National Convention is Lafayette when over 800 persons came from all
over the world to visit south Louisiana and it's daylily gardens.
In number of attendees, this is still the largest convention in AHS
history.
