Friendly Folks Growing Daylilies in South Louisiana

About Us

H. 'King Kahunna' by Clarence Crochet - winner of the AHS Pop Poll for Rgeion 13 for five years straight!

Daylilies are our main interest. Our goal as a club is to educate other people and promote the growing of the daylily.  (And off the record, we like to eat - it's south Louisiana after all!)

We invite you to join Delta Daylily. We keep it simple. Fill in the membership form and return it with your check for dues. $7.50 per year for an individual or $10.00 for a Family membership per year to the address listed.  Membership Form

Events and meetings of interest are available through your membership. You will receive all mailings of the  upcoming club events and other events of interest. We have a newsletter, which includes the minutes of the previous meeting for your convenience and reminders of activities, gardening information and related articles.

Activities: We often have guest speakers, brown bag luncheons, how-to programs with a Pot Luck lunch, garden tours, and slide shows of new and future releases of daylily introductions and from garden tours and visits often by members. We have plant sales and auctions. You will meet and enjoy fellowship while learning with and from other members who like yourself love the daylily.

When you join the national organization, The American Hemerocallis Society, two more benefits are yours.  Publications: when you join the national organization, you receive 4 issues a year of The Daylily Journal. As a resident of Louisiana or Arkansas, your national membership  makes you part of Region 13 of AHS.  As such, you also would receive the regional AHS newsletter, The Arkla Daylily, when published. You are encouraged to register and attend the annual Regional Meeting as well as the annual National Convention of AHS.

Action now is all it takes from you.

This web site was born in December 31, 2007 and will always be "a work in progress", as is any good garden. Come visit occasionally!
